1. Create a plan for your life:
If you create a plan for your life and commit it to paper, you are seven times more likely to reach your dream in half the time it would take to reach if you do not commit it to paper.

2. Be persistent:
Don’t stop until you obtain your dream; view every obstacle you encounter as confirmation that you are on the right path.

3. Define your goal:
A person without a dream is a person clearly lost in their own mind. Shoot for the stars and you might reach the moon.

4. Develop a positive attitude:
Stay positive all day. You will find that being positive is contagious. People are more likely to seek knowledge from a positive person rather than a negative person.

5. Decisive action:
Don’t think of what you want to do. Think of what you will do and make it happen!

6. Start early:
Early risers usually accomplish more in a day than late risers. Give yourself a reason to get up early and start your day with vigor.

7. Do three tasks daily that move you closer to your goal:
Daily activity is the key to any achievement. List five things daily and complete each task. Then repeat the same five steps the next day, week, month and year, until you reach your goal!

A Single Consciousness

Have you ever tried to work on a number of tasks at the same time while in the office? When I try to work on more than one task I often get confused and my quality of work is not as sharp as when I'm concentrating solely on one task. The ability to focus solely on one task at any time is known as mastering a single consciousness.

One of the most famous thinkers of our generation was Bobby Fischer, the first American Chess Champion. Early in Fischer's life he sat at his mother's kitchen table for countless hours with a single consciousness about one move. There were times when days passed before Bobby moved on to another piece. Fischer's ability to focus on a single move helped him achieve the rank of grandmaster faster than any other person in human history; he revolutionized the game of chess.

A few years ago I applied the single consciousness concept when writing my first book
Entitled "You Can Still it's Your Choice!" I was focused... to the point that I was able to finish writing and editing my book in under one year. During the same time I was able to win countless sales awards with American Family Insurance.

Alexander Graham Bell said it best "concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus"

Every morning I woke up at 3 am to work on my book. For two hours I had a single consciousness. During my lunch break I wouldn't take any phone calls. I focused on editing my book. On my mirror at home I taped a sign that read "focus on your master-piece, your book will be read by millions and someone's life will be forever changed." I was focused!

Sometimes I would dedicate thirty minutes to three hours solely focusing on one aspect of my book. I apply a single conscious to just about everything I do in life and when I do this I get fantastic results.

So, if you want to improve your results get into the habit of applying a single consciousness.

Much Success,
